Published in Nature our new machine learning method to analyze cancer driver mutations titled “In Silico saturation mutagenesis of cancer genes”.

BoostDM

BoostDM is a computational tool based on machine learning designed to identify driver mutations affecting cancer genes. The method, inspired in evolutionary biology, is designed to define the potential contribution to the development and progression of cancer of all possible mutations in a gene in a given type of tumour. The new tool has been integrated into intoGen to help researchers identify drivers and better understand the mechanisms of tumorigenesis, and CancerGenomeInterpreter to help oncologists to find appropriate therapies for patients.
